Magnets: Do you really know the risks?

All the magnets have their magnetic field. Especially the neodymium magnets have a great magnetic force which can attract other metals more than thousand times of its own weight. So there are some hazards associating with handing of these strong powerful magnets. If you miss to follow the precautionary measures it may sometimes be able to become the cause of severe accident or can take your life as well. Magnets can cause crushing, cut and blisters. Often it has been seen that fingers come between two strong magnets and due to its magnetic force it becomes squeeze resulting cuts and blood blisters. Thus it is better if you protect your eyes and hands with goggles and gloves while handling with larger neodymium magnets. You will be surprised to know that these magnets can crush fingers and can even break your bones.

Another thing is that sometimes what happened, in the course of handling the magnets, it gets crash together and break down into pieces. However breaking of a magnet into several pieces with the force is very harmful for the person who is handling the same. While magnet breaks it exerts a force. There may be a chance that with that force the small broken pieces of the magnets can fly to somebody’s eye with a great force. The chip of the magnet is not less harmful than a sharp broken piece of glass or metal.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest type of magnets among all other magnet available in the planet. It has an outstanding magnetic force or the pull power. It is nothing but the magnetic force which sometimes cause harm to others in case necessary measures will not be followed.

The following are the safety cautious if followed well can save you from a serious injury. Always maintain a distance from the magnet while dealing with it.  Keep your eyes away. Also wear safety goggles while you are handing large magnets. Always cover your hands with gloves when you are dealing magnets to prevent pinching. Magnets have a great hazard for children, so it is advisable not to allow your children play with Neodymium magnets. It may cause serious harm to them. Keep your magnets at a distance of at least 20cm away from sensitive storage and electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets have hazards to your children mostly. So try to keep them away from the reach of the little hands. It has been seen that tiny magnets can be the cause on severe injury if swallowed and small magnets can cause blood blisters and cuts.
